BRIDGET ON THE BUS

Every morning I see Bridget on the bus

Wrack my brain for clever things we can discuss

I can feel something growing between us

Every day when I see Bridget on the bus

Bridget has a forgettable face

I will take with me to the grave

What she’s going through I’m seeing

‘Cause she can’t keep her feelings

From her face, from her eyes

Like a child she can’t hide

What’s been going on inside

Bridge’s gone, but she’s not very far

Saved her money and she bought a car

Now she’s just another driver

And no one sits beside her

On her way down the road

To the places that she goes

She is going there alone

Every morning I see Bridget from the bus

I remember all the things we would discuss

I can feel the distance growing between us

Every day when I see Bridget from the bus
